325xi Spacers and springs - sick of my car looking like an suv

As the title says I have a 325xi. I've owned the car 2 years now and I have more or less just decided to leave it all stock as I like the way it rides and its my dd not really a toy for me. However, it has always bugged me how incredibly high the front sits and how far in the wheels are. I think I can pretty much figure out what size spacers to get but any recommendations wouldn't hurt. Also are there any relatively inexpensive springs I could get for the front just to drop it some and maintain a stock ride feel? How far can you go before you will feel it or cause trouble with the awd components. I really don't care to get it as low as possible or anything just something lower than what it is now! I can prly figure out most of this on my own but I know I am not the first xi owner to feel this way so I'd appreciate hearing what you guys think.

I'm not sure how far you can drop it, but I do know that you shouldn't do just springs. You need to replace the shocks and springs at the same time. Lower springs on stock shocks will blow the shocks early. Also, you will never improve ride quality with the sportier spring/shock kits available, though it won't suffer much with some of the softer kits.

Yeah I guess that is what I am saying I really want soft springs nothing sporty. I think getting the wheels out wider will be thew most bang for the buck on improving the look without affecting ride quality. At the same time it just sits so ridiculously high id like to do something - that is good to know re. the shocks.
