Locked out from my 325

I have an 04 325i and the remote to unlock/lock car had died many months ago. Just yesterday the manual lock on my drivers door just broke, and it broke on lock. So I now have no way of getting in the car. I was thinking about buying a new lock kit of ebay and buy a slim jim to break in. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated. At the moment im just trying to get access to my car.

You should have more than 1 working keyfob AND know for sure your driver door linkage is working.

Many of the German/European Central locking systems are great while they work and you have a key, but once you loose your key and/or the central locking does not work, you may be SOL!

Break the window, it's cheaper to replace the glass if you realllly need to get into your car

I had this happen to me once while I was 60 miles away from home. Called 3 tow trucks and none of them could successfully jimmy the car open (they said BMW's are too tough to get into if you don't have the key) I guess this is good news regarding the security of the car and decreases the chances of getting it stolen, but I was SOL.

I ended up having to break a window to get inside. The next day when I went to get my window replaced the guy told me that it was good that I broke the passenger window instead of the passenger small corner window because he said those are more expensive to replace than the passenger window.

The trick is you have to push the center console lock button with something before you try to pull the door handle to get the door open.

That's assuming the center console lock button is not broken!

You need to get something long to push the center console lock button, then pull the door handle 2 times as I recall.

Good luck.
