OEM Xenon Retrofit Question
I have 2006 330ci (autonmatic) with Xenons, i just bought a low mileage 330ci ZHP (Manual), reason being low miles and my favorite color Scheme (alpine white on alcantara). Any way the ZHP does not have Xenons, considering both my cars are facelift will I be able to swap the headlight assembly completely as I would like to have the Xenons in my ZHP. i went through the forums and most talked about aftermarket retrofit, as I already have an OEM setup in my old car, it will be better if I could swap it before I sell it. Any help will be apprecited.

It is feasible -- the hard part however will be getting the adaptive functionality to work. Figure out how to wire up the adaptive modules (if you can rip out the entire harness for those bits without cutting anything, do that). Then recode everything for your car. It should work

I'm in the same situation, having to retrofit OEM Bi-Xenon to a halogen car.
From my research I've figured out that the OEM Xenon lights plug in and work without a problem (except for the error light on dash until you recode the LCM) but if you want to get the Bi-Xenon and autoleveling working you'll need to add additional wiring. I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to wire the Bi-Xenon to get euro functionality ( halogen high beam to flash when low beams are off, bi-xenon shutter to flash when low beams are on). Thanks for any info. |
