2004 330Ci ZHP Titanium Silver, 66k, no winters, well maintained, Cleveland OH

2004 BMW 330Ci ZHP, 66k miles, titanium silver, well optioned. $14,000

This car was originally purchased in New York, and lived its life in Virginia. I purchased it in 2009 with 35,000 Miles. The carfax is clean. While I have owned it the car has been stored each winter. It has never seen salt or snow. This is my fifth BMW. I am very familiar with these cars and would be happy to give a prospective buyer a thorough walk through of the car and common maintenance issues, and I can show you how to inspect a car for bodywork, repairs, etc. I am an engineer and have run a shop, so I tend to be more knowledgeable than many. If you would like a dealer to perform a pre-purchase inspection Cleveland BMW is around the corner and Ganley BMW is relatively local.

I am selling this car because I originally purchased it when I was commuting across town. My new commute is about a mile and I typically take my bicycle or my SUV, as I don't want to make a lot of short trips in this car. I hate to sell it, but as I don't drive it I would like to use the money for my home remodel. This car gets 30mpg highway, and is a great commuter. I really enjoy driving it.

For non-regulars of this site this is the "performance package", which is one level above the sport package. Specific information can be found here:
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...kage-road-test

and here:

http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showt...Package-Option

A buyers guide written by enthusiasts who are very picky about these cars can be found here:

http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showt...n-buying-a-BMW.

Options include sunroof, cold weather package (heated seats), Harmon Kardon sound system, Adaptive xenon lights, leather seats, and most likely some other things I am forgetting.

Partial list of preventative maintenance which has been performed recently/good things:
-All fluids changed
-Cooling system overhauled (new radiator, water pump, thermostat, expansion tank, hoses, etc)
-Valve cover gasket replaced
-Air filters replaced
-Oil changed twice yearly (less than 5,000 mile intervals)
-Control arm bushings are new
-Tires are at 90%+ No scratches or curb damage to wheels
-Hood and front bumper have been professionally touched up (no more rock chips)
-New brakes at 50k (performance friction Z rated pads)
-Drivers side window regulator replaced by previous owner.
-Battery at 35K by previous owner (new battery is often left on a tender, as the car is often not driven for a week or two at at a time).
-Bosch icon wiper blades
-New belts and idler pulleys

"problems" with the car
-Shift knob cap is discolored, and is not a ZHP knob (I may replace this in the coming weeks)
-Small amount of wear on drivers seat bolster
-Small touched up scratches below fuel filler door
-Very shallow dent in left quarter panel (quarter sized)
-Pencil eraser sized chip in lower right windshield
-Drivers sun visor air bag warning label has peeled off due to sun
-Rear parcel shelf has faded to grey instead of dark black
-Some small scratches on the black cube trim by the window adjusting switch (from the window regulator replacement I assume)
-Rubber lower trim on rear windows could stand to be replaced ($55/side to replace, I may do this in the coming weeks)
-Underbody splash shield has some marks from the car being lifted for maintenance.
-Slight fading of black plastic exterior trim

Everything else is in good condition for a 9 year old car. With a few small rock chips and scratches as expected. I fully expect this car to give its new owner tens of thousands of miles with nothing other than oil changes.
Non-smoker

$14,000 I would rather have a realistic asking price than an embarrassing haggling session. I will gladly point out all the flaws and maintenance as soon as you come to look so we can avoid the tire kicking song and dance. If you are looking for a joyride, please look elsewhere. If I suspect someone is just kicking tires I will ask for a deposit before a test ride or test drive to protect my interests and those of the new owner.

This last picture is from when the valve cover gasket was replaced. As you can see, it has clearly had frequent oil changes.

Thank you!
I should add that belts and idler pulleys have also been done.
Probably more that I am forgetting that I can point out in person.

Don't know why the listing was taken down... but here's a link to the local posting

Why is the ad suddenly missing?
Is it because I don't post much?

Yes, I've been a member here for years, an active member of the BMW enthusiast community, and have helped people out through private messages and at various events. But because I don't post aimlessly in the general forums I think the moderators decided to delete my ad. Sorry for the confusion!

What? New members post cars for sale all the time. You sure nothing else happened, accidental or deliberate?

I checked the guidelines for posting, as well as the rules. I was not notified of anything disqualifying my for sale post. I thought I was very descriptive, included lots of pictures, price, location, history, local dealers for PPI, etc.

From the sounds of it there is a gentleman from Dayton who is driving up here tomorrow morning to purchase the car based on a local for sale ad I published. I will update this "for sale" thread either way.
