Greetings Everyone, I just joined your group and really look forward to a good relationship with all of you. This is my first time joining a BMW Forum. I have now owned 4 Bimmers in the past years. My first one was back in 1980 when I first bought a 1979 320i with a 4 speed. That was a nice car. I had it lowered and had a set of Black and Silver 16" Weds Mesh wheels. For those of you who grew up in those days you probably remember those wheels. The interior had the Recaro seats that came with the car and a Blaupunkt Berlin radio. I'm dating myself now. My second one was a 02 E46 Sedan. 2 years ago I picked up a 97 328is Coupe E36 which I'm still working on today. It's been in the garage a long time. It was a salvage and I've put a lot of time in it changing parts to new. I've been working on it since I bought it and still not on the road. Maybe I can get Chip Foose to agree to work on a Bimmer on Overhaulin someday, Lol. In June of this year I picked up my daily driver which is an 04 E46 Sedan and still haven't made up my mind about the set up. I want to run 18" Linea Corse on the car and drop it a couple of inches to give it a nice stance and give it better handling. You guys have any ideas? Should I go with a staggered set up with 8.5front and 9.5rear or just 8.5 all the way around. I'm thinking coilovers cause I can't seem to find a lowered spring set up that will drop my car enough with the 18's. I don't want much gap between tire and fender if any at all. I've been reading all the different forums and looking up all the many websites on Bimmers and really enjoy what you all have been doing with your cars. You all are very creative in your unique ways and I hope you can share your knowledge and ideas with me on my quest to upgrade my Bimmers. Looking forward to speaking with you soon.
