let it go, or?

so, the other guy's insurance company is placing a $3k salvage value on my daughter's about to be totaled 2002 325i.

she wants a replacement and i'm tempted to take the $3k and let them keep take her current car.

opinions, suggestions welcome,
ps her car has 251k miles on it and was in perfect condition before being sandwiched between the other guys run away truck and my 68 ss, which in turn got sandwiched between the front of the 325i and a retaining wall. no one was in any of the vehicles when it happened, thank G*d.

My Ride: is a truck.
Is it a SULEV 325? Oh, and by the way that salvage price is negotiable. I did that with my truck. Maybe take there third offer. Just tell them, give me $10,000(or some number) and let me keep it and we have a deal. If you have any records of up keep they might want to see those and that will help the negotiation.
