^^nice pick up. Soon everyone here will be running a nikon m223 scope of some sort and BCM grips and geissele triggers ha.
Are you looking at QD mounts or no? Never go wrong with Larue just cost almost as much as the scope ha. American Defense has a good rep as well. |

I found it on the ARF EE. I started checking it about a month ago, and it's the greatest thing ever.
I'm not sure what mount I'm going with yet. It's going on a dedicated upper, so I don't feel the need for a QD mount.

http://swfa.com/Burris-AR-PEPR-1-Sco...nt-P12624.aspx It seems to get good reviews and isn't a QD mount but it's pretty cheap about $70 vs $200 for a Larue and I think american defense is about $150ish(haven't checked lately). Haha the EE is the only thing I read on arfcom, but ive gotten some hell of good deals and have sold some stuff extremely quickly there. the lightfighter swap meet sometimes has amazing deals..i got my Larue FUG that is like new for essentially $50. |

I recently decided I'd like a small first aid kit to drop into my school bag or vehicle, or my weekend bag if I go on a trip. nothing fancy, just some stuff I've ran into wanting many times and didn't have it, and some true emergency type stuff.
I started off with an Adventure Medical Kits First Aid 1.0 mini First aid kit, and added my own choiced while leaving out some duplicates and the larger gauze pads, and put it into a Maxpedition 3x5" pouch. I'm kind of amazed at how much fit into this little pack! This kit will eventually be supplemented with a much more comprehensive kit to keep in my car at all times. Contents: Medications and such: 6 antiseptic wipes 3 afterbite wipes 2 3x Antibiotic packets 2 Ibuprofen packets, (two 200 mg tablets each) 1 antihistamine packet (25 mg each) 1 acetaminophen packet (pain relief/fever reducer: 500 mg each) 1 mini tube of hand lotion Bandages: 2 2x2" gauze pads 1 Moleskin Blister relief bandage 12 1x3" bandages 5 Butterfly closure bandages 2 knuckle/fingertip bandages 10 yds 1/2" tape 1 2" elastic bandage roll Tools: Buck knife, small fixed blade, nice n' sharp Nail clippers (useful for removing damaged skin sometimes too) tweezers, good ones Slim rescue whistle small liquid filled compass (currently reading backwards because the buck knife and nail clippers are apparently magnetic) Gerber Clutch mini multi-tool. Future additions: ( next few days) small single use eyedrops ( I have dry eye problems. also useful for getting debris out0 small mirror (help find the debris in your eyes, or treat face injury) Q-tips? razor Blade? And now how it goes together: started with this ![]() Picked out this and added my choices ![]() bandages get sealed into ziplock bags ![]() Front pocket has some survival and medication tips and the whistle ![]() the front zippered pocket keeps the multi-tool, clippers, tweezers and compass in order ![]() inside the back pocket holds the antiseptics, afterbite, and AAA ointment ![]() the inner front pocket holds the meds ![]() the rest goes into the middle in a very tight specific order ![]() Hand lotion tops it off ![]() and in comparison to a pop bottle cap, to show the size: ![]() I've always liked useful and compact things, so this goes along with that.

That pouch is a fantastic idea! It would also make a good pouch for a mini survival kit. I am going to have to do that and stick both in my car.

Great kit. I've been looking for something to put together for my range bag beyond the current cheapo kit. I will look into some of those items.

thanks everyone! I already added :
4 q-tips, useful for things beyond cleaning out your ears, like getting a rust or other particle off of your eyeball / inner eyelid (moisten first) 2 razor blades 2 single use eyedrops and when I dig it out of my trunk tool kit I'll have a 1.5" square mirror also toying around with weaving enough paracord through the MOLLE webbing on the back to make a makeshift arm sling or whatever else.
