Also who's to say what's practical vs what's not? Haha. Practicality coming from you makes me laugh.

Let me mill a RMR in the frame and toss on a set of suppressor sights. $165 for the mill work including cerakoting the slide.

I really wish I could get a mini red dot for my duty pistol. I really want to switch over to this system. I think it's the wave of the future for pistols.

Just used mine in a class yesterday. It was the first class that I've used it with my prescription shooting glasses. Seeing the dot as a dot and not a comet made all the difference in the world.

ETA: I did have to modify my Raven holsters a bit to allow clearance for the RMR. I realized that after my first class using it, that the RMR was stopping the slide, and actually drawing the slide back by about half an inch while the rest of the pistol was secured in the holster.

Are there any issues with concealment?

What are the details on your prescription shooting glasses and why no Contacts? I'm curious since I only started wearing contacts this year, because I got tired of paying $$ for prescription eye protection

I don't typically use this 19 for my carry weapon, I have another 19 for that. However, I have carried it without issue anywhere from appendix to 3:00.

I picked up a pair of Rudy Project Rydons with a clear photochromic ImpactX lens and a red photochromic ImpactX lens. Rudy offers two options for a prescription lens; a snap in insert or an actual prescription lens. I chose the insert so I can swap lenses without having to pay for each prescription lens.

I can't wear contacts. I can't even watch my wife put in her contacts without my eyes watering.

lol, there's definitely hope for you if you're determined enough..

It took me several frustrating attempts over the course of hours to finally get them on in March.

Before that, I'd tried and given up twice in the last ~7yrs....each session ending in tears, literally

Even after ~6 months of wearing them I still struggle getting them on sometimes.

But once on, the convenience of being able to wear any pair of sunglasses makes it all worth it.

I really have no desire or need to wear them. I actually don't need glasses for day to day activities, I typically only put them on when my eyes are tired and I'm reading a lot. I only wear them for shooting because I have a slight astigmatism in my left eye that makes me see the red dot of the RMR or my Aimpoint a comet instead of a dot. The Eotech's don't seem to be an issue. This was the third class using the RMR, but the first time using the the prescription insert. I had performed dryfire drills at home quite a bit to get used to the RMR. I was really struggling with it, because it looked like this giant blob and I couldn't figure out why everyone was raving about them. Then one day I forgot that I had my glasses on and I was like , now I get it. It was a moment for sure.

I love Larue...

Last week, I ordered a set of handstops for my rifles and today, they showed up...with a few surprises!

So I opened the box...

And inside found my handstops.

But I also found some bumper stickers...

and some copies of the constitution and a DVD!

All together

Thanks for all the goodies, Larue!

Ohh and lest you all accuse me of not showing you all the final product...(the 300 blk build still isn't finished).

I'm researching on a 300 blk out upper. Just need to decide on a 8.2, 8.5, or 9. Heard the powder fully burns at 9". What rail did you go with it, and how does it feel? Just wondering if it's cramped and how much of an extension you can get on it.
