Exhaust note
Check out this video on YouTube:
I want this exact set up! Description says it's straight pipes, but I know it's more than that! Schiedmann headers maybe? |

As someone with header-back straight pipes - those aren't straight pipes. Too high-pitched.

It actually sort of does sound like an S2000... I'm not digging it, but I'm also a huge fan of the stock exhaust note on my ZHP which is apparently just a normal 330's exhaust with the flap removed.
And now that you posted another video... my God that'd get annoying on the highway! You actually want that? My DASC 318 had an exhaust setup like that and I HATED it.

I agree with you, the golf tee mod sounds really good on say a cold start, but as soon as the engine warms up it's so quiet..blah. I just found out he has a supercharger lol. I want a deep exhaust note, not so raspy. What do you guys recommend ? And sound clips please..

Too quiet? It should be quiet until you rev it hard, which is what it is. Above 3500rpm I think the 330 sounds fantastic! In fact my girlfriend got really nervous when I drove hard getting on the highway once, not because we were going super fast but because she said it sounded "angry" lol.

From experience.
Before I bought and Installed catless headers my car was straight piped. It sounded amazing. Seriously it wasn't THAT loud or raspy. Really deep sound. But still too loud, so I had 1 set of resos (magnaflow glass packs) installed in the mid section of the exhaust. This sound was perfect for me, alot quiter but still deep and louder than stock. Then I installed the headers and I was embarrassed when I drove it. I absolutely hated it, I couldn't even get up to speed without sounding like a fvcking racecar. I how have headers, 2 sets of resos, and a muffler. Sound is really deep, not too loud or raspy either, but the rasp is still there. Ill see if I can get a video one day next week. My Car from two of my cameras. straight pipes from the cats back, stock headers, stock cats.
plus a random iphone video of when i got the resonater deleted. already had the muffler deleted but heard good things about taking the res off so i said ohh well lets do it... like it alot better and not as crazy loud as the videos make it seem. unless i floor it or am in 3.5k+rpms..... dont judge me for this retarded video lol i was a tad bit excited that night....

SK8URDEAD, it seriously just sounds like you have an exhaust leak to me...
OP, if you really want to improve your sound then invest in a high quality catback exhaust or a different muffler. Generally if you go cheap, it will sound cheap.
