I recently purchsed a BimmerBrakes dual output V1 simulator.
Car is a 2002 325ci with BimmerBrakes headers, no CAT's, and Stg 1 ESS Twin Screw SC. I hooked it up as follows: Red to 12v power (tapped from fuel pump) Green to chassis ground Both yellow wires to O2 sensor signal wire (Black) I'm now getting heater circuit codes now and the cat efficiency won't reset. Please help me figure out what is going on here. Do these not work? Is there even a simulator out there that works? I want a sim that works, I don't care how much it is I just want something that isn't going to be a PITA to get working. I want something that when installed as instructed it works and doesn't break my balls. If there is nothing out there that works as instructed I'll be putting my CAT's back on. TIA

Innovate LC-1
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=713645 Personally, I'm running the Magnaflow headers with integrated cats with my ESS TS2+. No need for any kind of sims that way but it's not a cheap solution. Remains to be seen how long the cats will last but so far so good (16+ months, 20k+ mi).

The diagram on page 4 of that link shows how to wire the LC-1 up but I have a question. Does the LC-1 need to be tied into the DME for power and ground? Can I use chassis ground and 12v pulled from the fuel pump? Can I tap into the O2 sensor harness on the DME side for the proper colors? Per the diagram it seems like a pretty easy install and I have experience in electronics work so it shouldn't be too hard to do. Thanks.

I'm experiencing the exact same issues with my bb sim. Did you try the LC1 OP?

Good luck. I parted ways with my car because of the issue. My cats failed on my 325xi. I was totally stock but began getting the cat effic codes. Did numerous things over the course of 10 months and never could solve the problem. Long long long story short, I decided I was not going to drop $2000 in new cats on a car worth only ~$5000. I tried the bimmer brakes sim, also tried to make my own with instructions I found online. None worked. Might as well gear up to having to put your cats back on.
