Matte white cars - worth the trouble?

I'm debating whether or not to wrap my car in matte white. It's something I've been wanting to do however from reading some reviews it's an nightmare to take care of. Does anyone have experience with them?

I'm not OCD about keeping it spotless all the time, the car is my daily driver so I wash my car at least once a week. Already got a set of gunmetal wheels to go along with it too...

Attached a pic of a matte white SL and the wheels I got

Anything you use on your car now is going to completely change.

Taking care of a matte car is hard enough, now add vinyl to it? yikes

The nice thing about vinyl is if you don't like it or mess it up you can take it off- unlike paint.

If its your daily then it's going to be too much trouble IMO. If you only drive it on the weekends or what not then go for it

My brother vinyl wrapped his car in matte white and it looks dirty all the time. Too much of a novelty and not worth it imo..especially if you're going to pay a going rate to get it wrapped.

My car was matte white once.

Wasn't for me, made it look like a toy model car. Also, it being my track car, all the dirt and oil from working on it really stained the white finish.

Any other colors you would recommend going with? Is matte gray just as bad, maybe a darker color like titanium

For a show car/garage queen maybe. Clearcoat's are nice and easy to clean. I'm inherently lazy so matte or wrap while looking nice would be a hassle.

When it gets dirty its like trying to remove a stain from a piece of sand paper.

What if I told you matte and vinyl are the two gayest fads of the century

Yea...I know.

You can't use the same type of wash, wax...etc on a matte car.

Matte cars suck with proper maintenance...now add vinyl to that? Hell no

In my opinion, if I was driving a Mercedes and especially any AMG, the absolute last thing I would do would be to wrap it in matte white vinyl. That is just a horrible trifecta of trendy bs. White is hard enough to keep clean. Matte white? Impossible. And to top it off - vinyl, you say? I guarantee your AMG rolled its eyes as soon as you posted this thread. Road grime, bugs, scratches - everything is gonna immediately show. Not worth multiple thousands of $ to turn your car into a detailing nightmare. Worst case is you immediately regret your decision. Best case is, you take the vinyl off a year later after the fad dies. Either way you are out $2-4k to look cool for a little while.

Just my opinion.
