I never do ab work either. Front/back squats and dead lifts wear my abs out each and every time. I've seen more ab gains from indirect work than direct work. I feel like crunches are pointless honesty.

I'm honored! It's YOUR program suggestion that is responsible for every gain I have achieved in the past 4 months, AND it's still working. It's f@cking insane how effective it truly is. I feel like a program change won't be necessary anytime soon.

Those pictures make me look a lil bigger than I actually am, but the composition/definition is accurate. It's weird because I look smaller in regular clothing, but bigger in workout clothing.

This is why I prance around in my smallest boxer briefs when the chick is over.

My best ever was 405 for 3-4 reps, I don't remember exactly. I haven't benched in years, it makes my shoulders hurt. Dumbbells FTW

Ah okay! I figured that you were over the 200 lb. mark. I may reach max capacity at my current weight, and it'll likely be shy of 405.

benched for the first time in weeks last week and my shoulder hurt, in a bad way, for like 3 days. I'm doing it again today to see how it feels.

Is the flat bb bench even needed?

I have not worked the flat bb bench into my routine in over a year. Been doing incline until exhaustion with 155 and heavy with flat DB.

The flat bench will give my left shoulder problems after a while, fvck even had an MRI to verify nothing was torn, thankfully nothing was.

It depends on your goals. For the development of pure power........definitely!!! Is it necessary for the muscle building aspect? Not especially IMHO. I feel that dumbbells do a better job of recruiting more muscle fibers, but being able to toss around heavy dumbbells does not translate into having the strength to bench heavy weight. My chest hasn't grown/changed significantly in years, but my brute strength has increased dramatically.

I don't overdo flat barbell benching, but I definitely incorporate it into my weekly lifts.

Isn't strength relative to your exercise though? Bench strength does not translate into DB strength just as DB strength does not translate into bench strength. Or are you saying your ability to grab something and toss it like a rag doll strength has increased lol?
