So my wife finally built her credit and we're at a dealer test driving suv's and trying to decide between an fx35 and an x3..the BMW's calling us.

True story. Before the Nissan murano (or whatever) and the Lexus rx, the mainstream crossover didn't really exist.
I liked the original rx much better though.

I'd go with the X3, no question about it. The new models look amazing and the interior is quite a bit nicer. My wife wants one, too.

My wife and I are currently in a similar market. We're looking at the FX, RX, Evoque, Q5, MDX, and SRX.

We looked at the X3, but it just doesn't do anything for my wife or I, and it seems like for similar money, you get more out of the other brands.
