Fitment Question
Will 18x9 et35 wheels fit on my car without any problems? I dont want to have to do any fender modification. My xi will be lowered on H&R sport springs. So it will sit like this: (credit to xi_chee. I hope he doesnt mind me using his picture)
![]() And also what size tires should I run? I dont really know how the whole tire measurement thing works so if you guys could help me out that would be great!

You could probably get by with 235 or 225's, though it's going to look really stretched.
My 18x9's are et37 with 245/35's they BARELY rubbed on the rear fenders. Barely....but enough that I needed to roll them. By rolling I mean I just BARELY rolled them and there is ample room now.

Thanks for the quick response! What exactly does 235 or 225 refer to? Im new at all of this. And you look a little lower than I will be as well so im assuming that would reduce the amount I would rub, no?

235 indicates the width of the tire and depending on the height of the sidewall, may allow for more clearance.
235/35r18 is probably your best option to avoid a roll, though it will likely be a smaller rolling diameter so it will alter your speedo accuracy and fuel consumption. 245/35r18 is my tire size so being the same profile, depending on the tire brand, you could theoretically gain 5 mm clearance on both ends. I also have a wide 245 tire. Toyo proxes t1 sports have a "wide profile" design, so other 245's might have fit without rubbing whereas mine did...simply based on the model tire I purchased.

Also as far as the suspension goes, it really won't make much difference. Your springs will be soft enough that as you're rolling down the street, your tire will tuck in the well over bumps and road imperfections and turns and will rub if there's a clearance issue regardless of how low you are.
One thing that could have an impact is your alignment. I'm at -2 degrees of camber in the rear which is about as far as it'll go on the stock control arms. If you aren't that far negative, you might have more clearance issues.

Very cool site. Not too many people running the exact specs that I want... Maybe I should play it safe and go with 18x8s. Unless anybody wants to change my mind

I really don't think you'll have any issues. I run 18x8.5 et35 no issues at all. If anything you may need to roll fenders after your lowered if you're going really low

Its just going to be a subtle drop. So I guess 235/35 is the way to go?
