Suspension for non-m e46 with m3 rear end?
Thread title says it all. Non-m e46 with m3 rear end. Do I get fronts for non-m e46 and rears for m3 e46?

It depends how much of an M3 rear end you have.

what exactly do you mean by "suspension"?
if you're just talking about shocks and springs I don't recall any reason the non-M parts shouldn't work/fit in the rear too. You will want matching frt/rr components

Shocks, springs and lower sway bars. The retailer has what seems like different sets (shocks&springs)for m3 and non-m3.

I'm pretty sure if you have a non-m and only the rear M3 swapped over you'll want the non-m parts. M3 shocks and springs are tuned/valved for the M3 and actually tall. So some aftermarket Sport version of the non-M shocks/springs will be best.
Swaybars, I forget if the M fronts even fit correctly by the endlinks on non-m. and I don't recall if the rear M3 would take a different non-M designed bar. Swaybars you may have to mix. SLO_Town has a write up/thread on oem swaybars that may give options/answers.

Front swaybar will fit both M and non M. Rear swaybar M swaybar fits M only, and non M fits non M only due to differential clearance.

I would stick with the non M stuff with M3 rear swaybar (or M3 f/r swaybar set). You can go M but it might jack up your ride height. The sprung weight on a M3 subframe is not a whole lot different than a Non M.
