Question New DVD Unit not Dynavin

I have been looking into alternatives into Dynavin and found 2 that look promising. I just can't find a video for either. If you have one, or heard experiences good or bad, please let me know. I just bought a 2005 325Ci vert. Sadly I won't be able to drive it until I get home(deployed soldier) But I get a break in a couple months so I want to start modding inside first, hence the head units. The first is http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-3-Series...-/110974824921 A regular double din. I will need the HVAC moved though. The second is http://www.ebay.com/itm/XTRONS-D712-...item19d6c4aee2 I'm not sure if it will fit with the car though, or what I will have to buy to make it look more naturally integrated. Thanks for any input_a_

That second one is ghastly. Go with the Dynavin clone, those look super clean in E46's. Personally though, I'd spend a little more money and get an Android version (not sure if there's a clone Dynavin running Android though).

Ok this may be a really stupid question but looking at the before and after installation pics.......How do you control your A/C and Heat if all the stock controls are removed to make room for this screen?

There is a part you buy that moves the HVAC lower to the open area with the push to open thing. On the install pic, I just think they didn't show it for whatever reason

Pay attention to the size of the unit specified in the ad. It says double din but the pic is single din. If they ship you the 100mm d-din, you'll have to hack your dash to accommodate the unit. Double check with the seller.

Trust me go for the single din. I was looking for d-din but I was advised to go for a single din so I did. Install was a breeze. I'll post pic of my unit when I get a chance.

I have the ENCO unit, bought from EONON, AKA the Dynavin clone. It looks well and I have had no problems "YET".
475$ from eonon.

So the unit posted is a single din? That is basically the same as the first unit I linked to. I thought double din was in reference to the faceplate of the unit not the whole unit. But I think I understand now.

I have been thinking of getting on of these units. Is anyone running one? From the link i assume this is bolt in and requires no modifications to the vents due to its single din size behind the double din faceplate?

What is he difference between a android and non android unit on the dynavin units?

Also can someone post a link the the HVAC relocation part?

Sorry for all of the questions

You should have posted this in the audio section.

Go ahead and get that if you want. Better pray it doesn't break. You may think that you're saving money by not buying a Dynavin from Jeff, but if that thing craps out on you you're most likely going to be left with a paper weight.

You're buying a Chinese clone of a Chinese product. I highly doubt they have any customer service. Do it once, do it right. Buy it from Jeff who has a proven track record here.

People, stop being cheap and buy the Dynavin through Jeff at Dynavin Solutions. He's a great dude and will stand behind his product. If you buy one of these units and have issues, you have no support... why risk getting stuck with a crap head unit to save a hundred bucks?

I got an Erisin unit and its great for what i payed for it. off the web site its 340 plus shipping. Contact the erisin companie off the website via email and negociate the price. I got it for 320$ unit shipping to my door in canada via dhl in 3 business days. its a great unit with wifi and 3G internet options.

Dude I'm glad you posted this. How was installation for you? Can you link me to a HVAC switch harness?

I second this. I had some issues with the Dynavin and Jeff took care of me 100%. I would probably have been out of luck if I'd had similar issues with one of these other Chinese units.

I did it without a hardness. Its simple and easy. Just pull out your sunglass slip and insert your HVAC in the slot. it sits nice and snug ! If you really do need a hardness go on ebay there about 30-60$.

Good luck
