Good/Bad news...

I put my car on the lift today and I noticed 2 issues..

1. Left outer ball joint is bad

2. Left rear shock is leaking....this is good news to me because I guess this is an excuse to upgrade my whole entire suspension. I don't think I want to to do coil overs, but i've also heard a lot of horror stories regarding the bilsten rear shocks.
What are some reviews or inputs on the bilsten/eibach setup or koni/eibach setup?

H&R Springs are apparently too harsh of a ride?

I know i'm going to get a lot of criticism for not using the search tool, but i'd like my own set of questions answered.
Hopefully someone out there will be kind enough to help me find the right setup.

I'd like a little firmer ride(nothing too firm though because this is a DD), definitely lower(maybe around ZHP height), and better handling.

Get h&r sport springs for cars without sport suspension. I think that's exactly what you want.

are you looking to lower it? how much?
If you deal with bad roads stay away from coils.
HnR springs are very harsh and bouncy,
The only descent springs are eibachs, i have those with konis.

It will lower you about an inch. The ride is great.

I recommend koni yellows only because I have them. At full soft they're very very comfortable.
I have sport spring for sport suspension which are race springs for non sport suspension (same springs)
They are great. I daily drive my car and they're no where near what coils are. They're comfortable.
You mentioned wanting not too much drop and a comfortable but more responsive ride. That's why I recommended the sport springs for cars without sport suspension. They will be a step down in stiffness from mine and a step up in ride height. I honestly think they would be perfect for you.
Mine are not bouncy at all. They're perfect for me and h&r is a top tier brand along with eibach.
Shock options are almost endless. I wouldn't recommend running stock shocks with aftermarket springs just because there are better options out there.

If you want more low get 5mm rear pads and upper drop hats/spring perches from supreme to lower half an inch more. This with eibachs will get you nearly as low as HnR but without being harsh.

You can get either ones. The sport springs for non sport suspension are just different springs. The fitment is the same.

Let me put it this way. There are essentially 3 springs from h&r. I will list them from least aggressive/highest ride height to most aggressive/lowest ride height.
*all these springs will fit your car.

1-Sport springs for non sport suspension.

2-race springs for non sport suspension. Sport springs for sport suspension.

3-race springs for sport suspension.

Not really sure what the difference is between 29383 and 29484
Might want to call h&r to discuss that.
They should technically both fit your car.
