Want to supercharge my 330ci

I have an 02 330ci with headers and performance exhaust. What would be the best set up and how much boost can my engine handle?

All depends really.

As listed on there websites.
VF uses 6psi
AA stage one uses 8psi
EAS TS1 7psi, TS2 8psi, or 8.5 with upgrade kit, TS3 14psi
TT turbo 7.5 - 13 psi

Safely handle I would say about 8 is common but these engines weren't intended for FI although they do have some good qualities for FI such as forged rods and no known crank failures to my knowledge. Cooling the air is harder to do than getting the max psi from what I have read.

Consider either the TT turbo or ESS twin screw. If your motor is in good shape and well maintained, you can reliably run either of these kits up to 8-9 psi without upgrading internals.

I'd love a twin screw! That will be my preferred choice.

Keep in mind that none of these options are CARB certified....

I have been running the AA stage 1 with 170k miles on the engine with no problems. Boost is running about 8psi.
I think if I were to do it again I would go with tt turbo setup. Seems like there is more potential for more power.

Any FI upgrade requires EXTERNAL upgrades (assuming compression is good) to keep the motor running such as the following:
1. cooling system & water pump
2. external oil separator due to increased crankcase pressure
3. oil cooling based on how FI is oiled
4. cold range sparkplugs - if they don't come with FI kit
5. catalytic converters that don't get burned up by FI - if your state has emission inspection
6. if automatic transmission, then upgrades for it, eventually.

The other item is an LSD so that one rear tire does not wipe out its tread quickly.
You can look at my garage for what I have done, so far.

I respectfully disagree! A nicely engineered turbo setup is hard to beat.
