Convert Video File for iPhone?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has recommendations on software to convert video files (avi, primarily) to iTunes / iPhone friendly format (MPEG 4, I believe). I've read that Quicktime Pro, Videora, and Handbrake are all capable of this, but does anyone have any first hand experience, testimonials?

I just used ImTOO iphone video converter
movie went from 700mb to 900 and looked really good on the phone, but the sound was off.
Need to test and see if it was the file or the converter.

Quicktime pro works well.

Also, a program called "ViddyUp" works well.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

I decided to try Videora and Handbrake since they are free. Videora seemed to work well but I kept running into problems with the files. For some reason, iTunes would not allow me to import them - both dragging and dropping as well as adding through the file menu. I'm not quite sure why. Anyhow, I gave Handbrake a test drive and all worked fine.

If you want to convert movies for iPhone, just try Handbrake for free. It is pleasant to play iPhone videos wherever and whenever.
