Will 18x8" Et25 fit?

Got a deal on a set of rims i really want but havent bought the car yet, so i dont have any chanse to try them on.
They will go on a E46 touring, 40/30mm lowered i guess.

That offset if mightly low. It will probably rub and give you issues.

Snikwad knows his stuff (I'd argue best of anyone on here) and you should be fine, but your fronts will be getting close and have a little bit of poke. Just FYI I have 18x8 up front with 225/40s and ET29. I'm almost certain XI are the same wheel wells as sedans not sure if my non-sport has the same ride height as an xi but i'm lowered 36/23 mm so we should be in the same ballpark.

On what authority?

It will probably work, but it will also poke. I ran 17x7.5" M68s at ET26 with a 225 without issue, but I thought the wheel stuck out too far. It will be very close.

In the rear it might just straight up rub.

Trust me, as a sedan owner I know to a T how much room I have with my setup, snikwad has yet to give advice I wouldn't agree with for fitment on that body style. Not sure I can say that about anyone else on this forum. I might be able to, but I don't see anyone in the W&T section give more consistent advice.

OP like I said, the fronts will poke approx 1 cm but you can get away with it. The backs you will be fine.

I've ran et38 with a 18x10. and 255/35. I then sold the car with 18x9 ET20 and 245s. By then fenders had a pull too.

I'm pretty sure as long as his alignment is good he will be fine with that size and those tires.
At the very most he may need a fender roll.
The rim will be completely flush with the sides but the stretch if the 225 should clear the fenders.

Plus he's talking about a mild drop. Not slamming it.
