Martin's E46 M3 sedan steel blue with cinnamon interior

Here's my sedan I'm building,I am doing every single thing my self, except the DME coding I'm not that good at computers, but all the mechanical work I did myself, with not 1 person helping me, yes even the complete rear end I did by myself, I guess it's a pride thing LOL, I'm doing all the fenders and quarter panel welding, and body work, and the paint too as you could see my bumper I painted. I have about 10k miles on my swap with absolutely not 1 problem, I have about 15k on the rear end and tranny, I converted my auto 330i to an M3 6 speed and rear end before I put in the swap.

I got her in a trade in July 2012, I had a 2000 328i with 220k miles that I bought for $2500 a year before, loved that car, drove it to Vegas like if I was driving a brand new car out the dealer with 4 people and bags in the car, till my brother in law crashed it and I made him pay for the repairs.Anyways back to the 330, I traded my friend that bought it for $2800, with a cracked head, he thought it was a good deal because how clean it was, I didn't say anything because I wanted parts off it too O_o so he got a quote for $3500 to get a new motor installed, I had bought a 99 passat off my boss for $700 that he liked so I traded him, $1000 later I had a new rebuilt head and practically rebuilt block, by me, I had never worked with a BMW before, just minor tuneups, so I have some knowledge about engines and I rebuilt the whole thing without any manual or any directions, just basic torque and that's pretty much it, anyways I put about 10k miles on that rebuild, passed smog twice with no problems.

Long story short, here I am addicted as heck, I just love working and doing new stuff to her, I bought the swap, extremely cheap, thinking that the motor was bad, but it was so cheap i bought it anyways, I didn't trust the guy I bought it from a first but them he became a good friend of mine, did the transmission and complete rear end first because I still needed a DME and a bunch of little things that I had to sort out, a few months later I got everything together and started the swap, it took me a good 20 hours to do it, the biggest problem was wiring up the little things to keep the check engine light off, like the EVAP thing by the gas tank, I asked a few members about it but they said to look it up for my self pretty much, so I said screw it I have a friend with an M3 and I wrote down wire by wire, and 10k happy hard miles later she still runs super strong, I'm on a mission to replace every single thing with new OEM parts, I'm getting pretty close, here are some pictures of her.

Here's a video of a quick pull, nothing crazy I let go second gear because I was getting sideways too much, I need to replace the RCAB's I think that's why I have so much wheel hop.

After... well like a 1/4 after I still have a lot to go, I might go to TIJUANA this weekend and get some real suede for the headliner and pillars, it runs about $6 a square foot over there. The thing about cinnamon it's that in pictures it looks orange, but it's different in person, it's a lot better in person.

Is it wise to rev it that high with the oil not at operating temperature?

Sorry idk what happened to the pics, and no its not wise, but I did drive the car to try to warm up the oil right before I did this, and I guess maybe the needle was taking a little long to catch on, I know it's suppose to be at the middle part for it to be at its best.

I fvcking love an S54 sedan, nice work man.

I think you were fine with the oil/water temps, aren't the orange tachometer lights functional on the car?

These cars are built like the German panzer tanks. BMs are not to run idle for too long u start u go straight way. So the oil at the bottom mixes quickly.

i like where its headed but would have been so awesome to keep with the plain sedan exterior to mess with people. the only hint of the engine would be the exhaust and sound. most people would think its just a 330 with m3 rims.

Haha tanks, yeah there strong but oil is too thick to pump when it's cold, it gets a better film when it's hot at over 200 degrees that's why it's better to warm it up, but I didn't want for it to look like a 330, I want people to trip out on the fenders and quarter panels, and I already have quad exhaust with Borla so it sounds nothing like a 330

No I havent, I'm trying to decide if I should use an M3 one or get a face lift sedan one and put the M3 hood bump, because I like the grills from the sedan, if I would use an M3 one,I would still have to customize the hood to fit the sedan lights.

Is that the regular tan/sand beige interior? Mine didn't look like that, is it the lighting? Or maybe the gold trim makes it look better!
