Brake lights get stuck on

Hi I have a 318ci e46 and every now and again the brake lights get stuck on but if I hit the brake pedal a few times the will unstick any tips?

The lights themselves or on the cluster?

You might need to replace your brake light switch. Part is around $20 USD for Febi/Bilstein and $40 USD for OEM.

61316967601

I would check www.realoem.com and check to make sure that the part number is correct for your vehicle.

My Ride: '94 325iC & '00 323i
Brake pedal switch. If your car is an '00 323, you need Item 11, else you have to find the equivalent for your car,

Thanks yes it was I only have baby E46 318 ha but it was number 11 it was extremely dirty and just needed to be cleaned so it was a handy fix thanks

They do go bad so when you have a chance buy a new one. The cleaning might only delay it for a short time.

Ya I will do I'm in the process of looking for a cat for it at the moment for the test looking to sell it and get a six cylinder 2.5 hopefully
