Clutch pedal position?

Hi all,

I've been having an interesting issue with the clutch pedal lately on my 01 330Ci. It isn't technically a problem since the clutch still works, more like annoying. Lately, when I start my car in the morning, the clutch feels really 'loose.' I mean that in the sense that pedal itself has a lot of play. I barely touch it and it bounces around about 2-3 inches. It still actually works, but the clutch itself catches really close to the floor. But once I've been driving for a while, it stiffens up and has no play, and the catch point moves up to about halfway, like it always used to be. It's happening more and more frequently lately, whether it's hot or cold outside but not every time I drive. I had the clutch, slave cylinder, and all fluid done about 8000 miles ago. Any ideas? I don't want my clutch to go out again and leave me stranded! Thanks guys.

Any idea what part specifically? I was thinking it might have something to do with the master cylinder, that was never replaced. Thanks

Yes sounds like hydraulic to me too. Do a full fluid flush and bleed first and report back with your results. Also, how many miles on this clutch?

I'll do a bleed and flush this week and see if it helps. The clutch, slave, and fluid all has about 8000-9000 miles on it

Yeah, mine was not disengaging fully a few week ago because of air in the system, did a bleed and for some reason the pedal was soft. Did a full fund flash and now feels as good as new. So yes, this is good advice
