Need some expert input oem vs aftermarket replacement parts!

I'm replacing the following parts from ecs and I wanted to know
If aftermarket would be fine for the parts or oem quality would be worth
Double the price or if the other brands listed would work just as good.

Let me know if anyone has had experience with these brands or if choosing
The lowest cost parts would be fine for the parts. Thanks!

1. Thermostat With Housing Choices- http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330...ng/Thermostat/

Chose the Wahler brand ($54.95) - http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330...ostat/ES10944/

Yay or nay? Or if other brand would work out fine

2. Camshaft Position Sensor choices - http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330...trical/Sensor/

Chose the febi brand ($49.95) - http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330...nsor/ES240369/

Yay or nay? Or if other brand would work just fine

3. Oil Filter Housing Gasket choices - http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330...Filter_Gasket/

Chose the victor reinz brand ($3.49) - http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-330...Filter_Gasket/

Yay or nay? Or if other brand would work just as fine

Thanks!!!

I know Wahler is actually OEM for the thermostat. That's what I bought. I think you got OEM on the Febi sensor also. The gasket isn't going to make a big difference for brand.

Febi is an aftermarket brand . However, they r very reliable an often are the distributor for OES.

I've replaced all these parts at some point on my 2001 325I. I would never recommend oem unless you don't have a choice. if oem were so good... why must such things like 'window regulators, oil housing gasket, thermostat, etc. fail so frequently? I've been using aftermarket parts almost exclusively for about 6 years now (performance related included (i.e. control arm bushings, ignition coils, etc.) And have found them to perform just as well as oem and with better reliability. Just my personal experience and 2 cents.

Wahler on the thermostast is fine (I used that one)
Camshaft position sensor ... you might want to search, but generally BMW, as I recall, is usually recommended
OFHG is fine

I used Victor Reinz for the VCG and didn't find the fit to be very good on installation snd it ended up leaking 4 months later, I replaced it with an Elring and it's been great, and have since bought Elring gaskets for a few other projects all with great success.

I've got 2 years on the Wahler thermostat with no issues.
