Upgrading Speakers

I want to upgrade the speakers in my car. I didn't get the HK upgrade. Any suggestions?

Yea,,,,i dont own a bmw so i am not too familiar with them but i do work at a stereo shop.......do this.......
.......get a nice set of component speakers up front (MB Quart, Focal, Boston) then you may want to get another set for your rear speakers but if not just get the same size speakers as stock.....Then get a nice 4 channel amp for them. While you are at it, you may want to get a new head unit. (Alpine, Eclipse)

Not so easy

I have put some nice Memphis Audio speakers in the back of my 325 but it wasn't trivial. The mounting brackets in the dash are custom to BMW so I had to have a custom adaptor built. Wasn't that expensive but it was a pain to have to actually use an installer to swap out a pair of speakers. Also, watch out for depth. There's not alot of room.

The front, I understand, is even worse because the door is really shallow and decent after market component speakers don't fit I am told. I haven't gotten around to trying to replace them yet.
