this m6 needs to be saved...

Today i had to drop a family friend off at a garage and had seen a late model m6 sitting there in pretty good condition. I had asked a guy outside who works there about it. He told me it has been sitting there for over 2 years because the owner doesnt want to pay for the work done on it ($1800). The garage is trying to get a title for it. By law is there anyway the garage could get possesion of this vechile? He said hed sell it for the $1800 owed

Yes, it's called a mechanic's lien. I'd love to get my hands on that thing.

Not too far from me... If he could legally sell it to me for $1800, I'll come by tomorrow!

They can, but lien sales laws vary from state to state. Could take a little time.

Yes, you can do a Bonded title (lien) Or file for an abandoned vehicle title. That what I did with mine! Also (I don't know about other states) in the state of Georgia, If a vehicle is more than 20 years old, you don't need the title to sell the vehicle, just a bill of sale, think about it...

I found this bad boy sitting on the side of the road for about a year. I wanted it bad so I did my research and filed the paperwork. Towing company's do the same thing when they have a vehicle sitting in there impound lot without the owner coming and claiming the vehicle. Anyways, I'm just waiting for the time and money to start restoring her. A little body damage but nothing to bad. And for the price of free, I would say is a good deal!

Patton, where was that taken in Savannah. Don't worry, I'm not going to jack it. Just curious because the lot looks familiar.

I was thinking the same thing. OP, you found the car. If you're serious about buying it keep the location to yourself. Finders keepers.

You'd be wise to buy it, repair it, and either keep or sell the car. You should be able to make a decent profit if you can buy the thing.

I don't see how anyone could want to sell that if they fixed it up. That looks like it has the potential to be a beauty.

Agreed. But even if the OP didn't have the interest in the car itself (lack of storage space, money, etc) it would make a great car to flip for a profit.

I'd keep it without a doubt!
