I'm more interested in the final product than concept photos, in terms of interior quality and finish I can't imagine BMW vastly improving their offering over the existing F30 given that they are both apart of the same generation, and need to remain consistent throughout the product line.

Looking very promising for the moment.. LCI E9X does it for me, but certainly didn't fit the bill at first, the F32 instead looks to be a guaranteed hit from the start.

Yup just saw it, looks absolutely amazing. The price is going to be outrageous though, no more affordable 3 series coupes...

And the interior:

BMW F32 4 series interior

F32 4 series interior leather

I don't think I have ever seen something so beautiful.

why do companies make these sexy concepts just to produce the same-old-same-old?

BMWs concepts are realy close to the real thing, especially this late in the development phase.

This F32 4 series concept coupe will be at the Detroit Auto Show in January. As this is a 95% completed car I'll have feedback on how the proportions are in person as well as the interior, etc. The production coupe will probably be shown at the Geneva Auto Show in March and will go on sale at the end of the the summer 2013.

I don't get this... BMW offers the 6 series uber-luxury coupe to those willing to pay 6 figures for a two seat-touring car... now they're upping the price point on the 3 coupe (fine i'll call it a 4)? What's the notion here?

Two possible ideas that come to mind -

BMW wants to be more aggressive with some of their modes, including the coupe. They have to, to keep up with MB and Audi, but they don't want to alienate their core buyers. So by splitting the lines the coupe doesn't doesn't have to look like the 3 series sedan.

Secondly by splitting the lines they can move the price point up, which probably puts it more in line with the cost of building the coupe. BMW sells dramatically less coupes so it makes sense it costs more. Now they don't have to worry about a bigger gap in pricing between the sedan and coupe because they're technically different models.

do we have any idea what the price is going to start at? don't get me wrong, this car looks like a $70k car, but lets be honest here, is it really going to be THAT much more than what coupes are usually priced at? lets not forget, this is the individual model, the regular interior will probably be far less luxurious.

Starting price I will say will be $42.5k/$47.5k for the 428i/435i

The Audi A5, which is a HUGE hit, starts at $38k base. I can't picture BMW offering this car for a significant amount more.

Time will tell. I will say tho, this car looks like you can get it for $70k with every option, and it seems like it is worth every single penny

First off, there are like 3 active threads on this. Secondly, you are one of the very very very very few that actually don't like it

Get your eyes checked, this is the nicest styled bmw since the e46...
