Thinking of buying a service manual for my 330i. Any suggestions?

I am a new owner of a BMW 330i and want to familiarize myself with maintenance of it. Thinking of buying a service manual for it and was curious if anyone had any suggestions?

This is my first bmw. Enjoying it so far. It's a 2004 orient blue metallic 330i with sport pack and 6 sp manual.

Thanks

Bentley...almost every page of mine is greasy.

Also...tis.spaghettidecoder.org (I can't say for certain if this is a legitimate or stolen copy...anyone?) realoem.com

What does OBM mean? Is that your color or something? I thought I knew every acronym! lol

Bentley. Many places to get it. About $90. This is one option:

It's Oil Based Mud in my world.

Edit: And it's not an acronym.

I know Bentley is the standard. Does the Haynes manual have anything extra or what is it missing?

What is it? Oil based mud sounds like it should have a hyphen in it, but otherwise sounds like it would be a great thing to have in your world.

I have a close relationship with gummi pflege...the guys here sort of just look the other way, and that's just one of the reasons I love them so much.

You should explain this pretty soon before I call someone to check in on you!

I'm not googling Initialism, coz if it's a religion or something, I'm pretty sure there'd be some alien artifact involved. Am I close?

Anyway, dude, Polyism is where all the cool folks are at!

Nevermind...I figured out what you meant...but I'd never heard of Initialism before...odd that it's not an acronym, though.

Wow. Fast replys! Thanks for the info! That is what I was leaning to. Obm is color. I've only had if for 4 days and wife Is saying I spend to much time with it already! Working towards the new owner maintenance checklist that is posted on here. I've only been looking around on here a few days and it has a wealth of knowledge and great members from what I've seen so far.

Stick around. If you keep up with maintenance your car will be awesome to you. You'll probably spend $1.5K in the first year (restoring some sommonly neglected things) and then not too much after that. I haven't seen a car community with this much DIY information anywhere else. My old Jeep WJ forums didn't have near the knowledge base.

Initialism sounds plausible! Acronyms are pronounceable, like NAFTA or SNAFU.

My world is the Oil Patch. There's lots of weird stuff in it, like monkey-boards and catwalks and Geronimo lines. And we get to play with explosives. I just love blowing stuff up.

Sorry about the thread-jack. Couldn't resist, but I think OP has the answer already.

Robert Bentley Publishers puts out by far the best service manual for your car. By far. Not even close.

I've had a Haynes manual since I bought the car and there's only one piece of information I ever had to go to a dealer for. That was flywheel bolt torque values.

Haynes will be fine and a lot cheaper for most of what you're ever going to need.

I am going up order the Bentley manual from bvauto and I am also looking at getting a obd scanner. There is one with the manual as a package deal. Is this the best obd for the money or is there a better one? Any recommendations?
