headliner issue

I picked up a replacement headliner because Im switching my tan interior or black. I start taking off pillars and other misc pieces today to switch it out. Out of the 6 pillars 3 are broken near the bottom. both the long covers for the torx screws on the A pillar are broken too. There were other sh!&* BMW plastic materials broken too. Is this normal or was my PO just a dumbass? lol I have to buy replacements or figure out how to fix it them with glue or something

Buying new ones would probably be your best bet, that way you dont have to wrap them or worry about the glue working loose again...

There's a reason why they're plastic on the A-pillar. The pillar needs to break away safely so the airbag can deploy. The plastic allows this to happen.

Don't torque them too tight. Sounds like someone did.

Where would one go about acquiring such pieces? Mine are cloth wrapped and it is peeling off on the edges.
