Comparative incomes

Here in Australia my little 10 year old 320i would sell for about $15,000.

An office receptionist earns about $40k - $50k

A first year police officer about $50 - $60k

Young pizza delivery driver about $20 per hour (casual)

Farm labourer about $23 per hour

Good rump steak costs about $20 per kilo at the butcher.

I am wondering what various common jobs pay in other countries, particularly the U.S.

Your farm laborer and pizza delivery (not counting tips) income, and car value are way higher than they would be in the US.

In America a 10yrs old e46 will sell for anything under $10K.

a delivery truck driver or a factory worker earns over $25 an hour due to UNIONS and as a result, business are outsourcing these jobs overseas.

However police officers can earn a lot more here. I have a few friends who are cops that make $130k+ here in Boston.

Thats cause they are in kangaroo tails or crocodile teeth, or whatever they use as currency in the backwards flushing toilet country

Another factor is salaries vary by location. For example, if you're living in places like San Diego, San Francisco, DC, etc cost of living is higher, and salaries tend to be higher to compensate. So a cop in a small town or suburban area may not necessarily make the same as a cop in a big city like New York for example.

Not sure about rump steak but we get delmonico/ribeye/NY strip steaks for about the same cost(per kilo).

A receptionist makes a little less I would say but not much. Depends on the field of work.

Pizza delivery is about the same.

Police officer is less. State troopers start at around 38,000 but obviously that is for a patrol officer not a detective or anybody with any rank/speciality.

As far as a farm labor I couldn't tell you.

Average nationwide income for the entire country is right around 40k and household income is 51k.

According to studies your incomes are pretty off I found that the average starting salary for a police officer in wales is about 29k.

That would truly be an amazing outsourcing deal, and this is coming from someone who sells outsourcing work for a living.
