Official Thule fairing on oem rack

After receiving questions as to how I mounted my fairing on the oem roof rack I just thought I would post a few pics and give a brief description. I would like to say this has worked flawless and is extremely rigid.

I first had to trim the mounting hardware as you see in the pics. I trimmed it with an air tool zip cut. After trimming the hardware I had to drill into the hardware and the rack at the same time after lining everything up and getting it where I wanted it. I then used self tapping screws and attached the fairing to the rack and voila!!!

I encourage anyone else who has also done this to please add to this with their work

I know I was looking for a thread like this when I was mounting mine! Let's see em :exciting:

Nice. I've had one of these sitting around for months uninstalled. Initially I was looking for a way to mount it without cutting the clips, but I'm to that point.
