Remember December 7th, 1941..
A date which will live in infamy... I know for most of our current generations, 9/11/2001 will ring in our ears for our lifetime, but don't forget the massive sacrifices and lives taken away from December 7th, 1941, until September 2, 1945.
Make sure to remind kids that Pearl Harbor wasn't just a movie, but an event which added to the bloodshed for nations around the world. Thanks Veterans. |

Great post/thread! I'd agree that following 9/11 history teachings for younger generations have changed to focus on that as such a monumental moment for America. (Not to take away from it any) But the attack on Pearl Harbor and subsequent events that led up to US involvement in WWII should never be forgotten.

I wonder if kids today even remember 'Pearl Harbor' the movie.
RIP to those who died that day and much appreciation for those who fought in the War. |

Thank you to all of those who served during that time period, and to those who are still serving.

And in WW2, something outrageous like 90 percent of the federal budget went to defense spending. Times have changed.
