Ac condenser replace question

My mech told me the ac hissing sound was due to leak at the condenser. Just checking which brand of condenser to buy behr or others?

Valve and drier was replaced 2 months ago.

I got TYC from rockauto.com. So far so good. < $90.

I might be confused about the 2 parts.

The one under the dash is evaporator or condenser?

One in dash evaporates freon to cool because in physics "evaporation is a cooling process" Just like when alcohol evaporates from your arm it is cool.

One in front of the radiator compresses the freon to get it to give up its heat as the fan blows over it. So it is condenser.

Thanks! Evaporator is the one that I need replacing.

The whole dashboard has to come part in order to do the evaporater.
