Scion FRS 521hp at 20psi. Stock Motor.

And it seems to be holding up the punishment well so far. Very impressed with the FA20 Engine. I wonder how long the rest of the drivetrain holds up.

¨Car has over 150 dyno runs from testing a bunch of stuff. I would say roughly..

50 runs @ 250-300hp
50 @ 300-380hp
30 @ 420-450hp
20 @ 480 - 520hp

This is just a guesstimate but, we haven't been nice to this car that's for sure.¨

I have a feeling the frs/brz/gt86 will be the next tuner's paradise. Definantly considering one for my next car.

I don´t give a crap about the name BUT I really wish that we could get the Euro-Japanese Headlights. I do prefer the Subaru though because it comes with more stuff. But it is more expensive.

They look fantastic, and from what I've heard, they're a "real driver's car".

I'm content with my M though.

However, if these came turbo-charged, and still sold for ~$26,000 brand new, I'd probably have highly considered a white one.
But N/A, 200hp, 0-60 in nearly 7 seconds from what I understand? No thanks. Part of what makes it a "driver's car" in my opinion, is the power.

test drove the FRS over the weekend for sh** and giggles. EXTREMELY impressive. i had to keep the revs up to get power in a straight line but the entire chassis is made for corners. the 6 speed gearbox was heaven to work and throw around in corners. turned traction off and sport mode on, it was fantastic.

the R&D that went into this thing is nothing short of amazing. well-balanced, simple, focused. What did Jezzah say about the 1M? (applies well here)...engine in the front, manual gearbox in the middle and drive going to the rear. Page 1 Chapter 1 of the Petrosexual handbook. hell, he even named it top gear car of the year 2012.

I recommend anyone to go and take it for a spin before the "its a scion" comes across your mind. highly considering it to replace my M if I move to NYC.

I don't think it's even close to the 1M. The motor is uninspiring at best. The handling and chassis seem very well balanced and as if they have great potential, but it's a bit hard to tell with the awful tires the car comes with. Brakes- were not all that great. And the gearshift was better than a BMW but not as good as a Honda.

Cars like the S2000 deserve much higher praise than the FR-S/BR-Z.

I'm excited for what the BR-Z has started though, I think we'll see more competitive cars on the market very soon.

The awful tires are for a reason. It's a born drift car.
