AA methanol question

Hello I'm new into the Force induction world just purchased a e46 with a AA supercharger kit... I have meth installed into it I just have a few questions I've searched but I haven't found a specific correct answer (Again sorry if I'm starting a thread that's unneascary)

1. What type of fluid do I use is there anything specific that I should know about?

2. Is it ok to drive the car with the meth off?

3. Is it ok to hit boost with the meth kit off?

4. Where's a good place to purchase the method the right price? What's the average cost of it?

5. Is there anything specific way to put the meth in the tank? Should I fill it to the tippy top? Keep it mid way? Keep the car on or off?

6. What Do I need to do to keep it running correctly do I wash the tank?

AA uses a 50% water and 50% meth mixture

snow performance/ boost juice sell it already pre mixed

Just pour it through the opening in the tank. You can have the car on or off, doesnt make a difference. Just fill the tank to the top, you will be fine

6. What Do I need to do to keep it running correctly do I wash the tank?

No need to wash the tank, just keep fluid in there regularly that way the pump can cycle regularly

As long as you're running 93 octane you should be fine, but if you plan on driving the car hard turn it on.

If you run anything less than 93 you should definitely run meth

Yeah I'm currently running 100 oct but I've got no meth so ill just try to stay out of boost, thanks again!

Some AA kits are meth dependent. The E46 M3 HKS L2 kit is one of them. Check with them regarding your kit/calibration.

Can you elaborate on this a little? Why is it meth dependent? I'm pretty sure Jean mentioned to me a while back that it was only used as a cooling feature and not an octane booster.

Yeah I'd like to know, how can you tell if your kit is depended on meth?

The Generation 6 & 7 Active Autowerke Stage 2 Supercharger Kits for the E46 M3 Require Methanol that is why they are provided with the System.

Stage 1 to 1.5 Yes, you can turn off the Meth. But in Stage 2 Meth. is required.

Ooo dear I've been short on meth so I shut it off is there any harm if I run it off?

Meth on HPF kits are 100% meth and the octane boost from the meth alone allows for more timing = more power

On the stage 2 AA kit meth is also depended but in terms of cooling and stopping detonation from happening at max boost.

The on / off hobbs switch for meth is still there on the AA stage 2 kits for other reasons, say you went on a track and they didn't allow meth.

You would have to dump in some higher octane to not detonate and over heat with-out the meth.

Plain and simple, do not take a stage 2 AA kit to max boost with-out meth on or if it's off have high grade fuel.

I may have missed something as well for I'm not a pro or installer, just my 2 cents. Maybe all tracks allow meth, not sure

Note this is for the AA Stage 2 for the M3 S54 engine if wondering

That will suffice if you are using 94 Octane on a Stage 2 Methanol Injection is Required
