There is a lot more to be learned in school than you can find in textbooks and I believe that there is more liberty to provide those values (religion, discipline, etc) in private school. I'm not saying ALL private schools are better than ALL public schools (or even a majority) but rather that there is a greater ABILITY within private school to provide those. In public schools, religion (to me this is tied to ethics) and discipline are largely left out... Seeing kids get scolded in ways you could NEVER get away with in public school instilled fear which lead to respect.. a respect which has earned the same in kind from adults as I was growing up and a mutual respect now as a grown up.

Some view these as responsibilities of the parents.. and I agree. Ethics and discipline SHOULD be passed down by parents but that doesn't mean that they can't be reinforced 8 hours a day at school.

Most my friends are Ph.D's, professors, attorney's, small amount of doctors, one partner at PWC, another who owns his own little consulting house, and I'm one of 2 engineers. What's great is I met most of them at this hole-in-the-wall rockabily bar in Atlanta due to the fact that's the only bar that had the NHL package for all us hockey nuts. Knowing these guys was pivotal when I was going through publication as they have all done it before and gone to battle with referees before.

Oh and a Chemist and a few other guys who work with him at the CDC.

What I find so entertaining is I have met a few members IRL and it does nothing but serve my theory that you all want to be a bro online, while in real life I suspect you are mostly normal people.

Weather it is some pent up inner bro you gents release all over the internet, or a continual self confidence that you guys try to fix by attempting to Alpha around on a internet message board for 10 year old cars, it simply makes me laugh.

By the way - the pic you are referencing is my ex and her 8 foot tall gaybor. Pics of the new lady were posted long ago.

Photographer will be at the holiday parties tonight and tomorrow, next week, and at the Chateau for NYE. I'll post some more pics for you guys to complain about.

I learned so much from going to a private elementary and middle school, that when I went to a public high school, almost all my classes were a joke. I was essentially done with all of my class requirements to graduate by my second year of highschool. After that I just got lazy. On the positive side, it was a nice change not being told how to do everything and I learned how sheltered you will be if you only go to private schools.

I'd probably stick with private schools if I could afford it.

yes, there are a few good public schools in my area. I went to private until 4th grade so I want my daughter to go to private for a few years. I do want her to experience public school. My girl wants her to go to private the whole time.

If the sex is any good I'd imagine Jesus and God hear their name a lot.

If it's only for a period of time and you're the college name conscious parent (idk) then send her to private school for high school.

It it's just for development, middle school (4th-8th grade) or high school.

we of course hope she will get a scholarship, but we would like her to go to college. we both are college grads. me ucsb her san diego state.
I don;t want her to miss out on beign a kid, but I want her to not fvck up her future.
