ULF Bluetooth and IOS 6

So I have a 10th generation ULF bluetooth module that works great. I got a new Iphone 4S and with IOS 5.x Siri would work through bluetooth. I press the home button on the phone, the stereo cuts off and i would talk thru the car mic, and siri would respond thru the speakers.

For some reason I decided to upgrade to the new IOS6. The bluetooth for phone calls is still functional, but Siri no longer works thru the car like before. When I press the home button to turn on Siri, the phone shows that its connected via bluetooth but nothing comes out the speakers and the car mic doesnt pick up my voice.

The apple store said to restore my phone to original settings and try again (basically turn off and on again lol). It will not revert back to IOS 5.x doing that though. They then said that Apple might update the software in the future but cant guarantee it will work. They next said that BMW will need to update the cars software (highly doubtful on e46 since they are no longer in warranty and not bmws problem anymore)

Has anyone else experienced this problem with siri on their bluetooth ULF module? Have you been able to get siri on ios6 to work with the car?

I recently posted about a similar problem, only a little worse. (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=976813). With me, everything works through bluetooth on a call except that I just can't hear anything from the speakers. But the mic picks up my voice and the person on the other phone can hear me fine. Sounds a little like your Siri problem, except that you say it only affects Siri, and that actual phone calls work just fine. That makes your problem a little stranger, I think, but a lot less annoying (since, in essence, I don't have usable bluetooth). I only recently got the car, so I never had it paired with a phone running iOS 5 (only iOS6).

Did you ever figure out what was going on, or has it started working properly?

I have since upgraded to the latest 6.1.? and a few features have changed. If I turn the radio volume off or down low, I hit the Siri button and I can talk through the Bluetooth. She doesn't talk back but she listens at least. Apple maps does not give instructions through the cars speakers. I downloaded google maps and it actually interrupts the radio and gives driving instructions through the radio. This is a great option for cars without navigation.
