My Ride: 2001 bmw 330i
completely at a loss and need help/opinions please

OK so ill try to keep this short but ill list what I have found and what has been replaced.

*my car is a 2001 bmw 330i with roughly 140k miles, still waiting for the dealership to give me all the service records on it though.

1 .hesitation solved :-)

2. My gas mileage tanked from 26mpg average to like 19-21mpgs.

3. My traction control will randomly activate when I have no loss of traction

4. Rough cold weather starts solved :-)

Parts replaced so far;
1. Valve cover gasket
2. Cold weather ccv system as well as all hides for it, throttle body gasket and o-ring for oil dipstick tube(the kit came with a long piece of vacuum tube but I have no clue what its for as there video(bavauto) didn't say anything about it)
3. Disa valve was replaced back in Feb 2012, but just replaced the o-ring on that and would appear that was causing my bad cold weather starts and hesitation?
4. Fuel filter w/ pr

Does it hesitate around 3800 rpm?

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

Not sure when it was changed last but I just ordered one this morning from bavauto. And the hesitation is throughput the rpm range, its like a lack of power with spurts here and there but very subtle if that makes sense? And thanks fir helping really appreciate it

Suggest you read the first 2 links in my signature. Look closely at the DISA and SAP system.

I am suspecting your crankshaft position sensor.

OK so replaced my fuel filter and everything went fine, pulled fuse 54 for fuel pump, started it till it shut off, swapped out the filter, turned key all the way forward to prime everything and then started it, got some roughness, which would be expected LOL, went for a drive and UT misfired pretty bad, turned the car off and pulled the key, put the key back in and started it again and she ran fine. Took a little over an hour trip the next day and bam cel came on. Decided to take it to autozone quick just to have an idea what comes up and when I went out to start it it wasn't on anymore but went anyways..for three codes, 1st was for iac, the other two were lean bank one and lean bank two...never really had an issue with Odell but some time will be around 600-700 and other times would be around 900 but doesn't jump around..my car seems to be running good now though..pulls pretty smooth and she smoked and sti so that's gotta say something right..lol

A few questions for ya... Since you're well over 100k have you changed your pre-cat O2 sensors?

Well I finally got all the service records for my car..and back on Jan 31st when they replaced the intake distribution box that apparently meant the disa valve LOL..well that would explain why it was nice and tight but still replaced the o-ring on it LOL....pretty sure the hesitation issue is solved but still trying to figure put what is up with my electrical issue.. the entire electrical system fluctuates from lights inside and out to the heater/AC fan, to my idle..not very much just a slight dim and a slight up/down in rpms like 100-200 difference up and back down..I took a video of it to show what I mean but not sure if you can put that on here so ill upload to YouTube and post link

Dude, my eyes are bleeding after reading your later posts. Would you mind inserting a little punctuation and line breaks? Thanks!

Voltage regulator may be bad. How old is your battery? Have you checked the voltage through the OBC? That would fix your electrical problems probably.

Yes to this ^^^^^. Particularly the traction control symptom which I had. Took a while for the fault code to appear but once it did I replaced mine and ok. Word of warning though, the crank ps that was on it was only 9 months old but was not OE. So buy OE.

You will keep having problems and playing guessing games until you actually properly maintain the car. That means doing the stuff in the second link in my sig.

Also those HID kits (especially cheap ones) don't belong in your high beams

OK well that's your opinion but everything has been maintained and have the records to show it. There are no lights on showing anything oil changed every 3,000 religiously and all service is up to date but thanks for your help
