i even debadged my hood ans shaved the trunk!!!!

i say go with the debadge!!! Over here in europe its the way we do it, you dont have to go overboard like me but it does look cleaner without the 323, 325, Ci etc on it....

P.S. if i had an ///M3 i would debadge aswell...

I say go with what you think is best in your eyes...

This is one of the biggggest 's in history. You really should ... but since you might be a newbie, no harm done .

Debadging is the "thang to do". Not only does it clear up the look of the car, it makes it easier to wax, makes people wonder what your car is, and is the easiest mod ever. Easier than cleaning your car. I debadged someone on this board's car in like 5 minutes with strings off a graduation cap. good times!

Anyways, DO IT. It's super sweet, and most people on this board debadge. I like the symmetrical look on my ride:

BTW: Phatbimma... your car is phat. and it's a bimma. Phatbimma..

hey no problem buddy, we all do it sometimes. You are still in the "newb" category, and even if you weren't, nobody here is really hostile at all about it.

You're ok in my book. lol.

Something else to think about***********: in the European markets, you can order your car without the badges installed.

It's very common over there, especially on the higher-model cars... makes them less of a target for theft. A thief won't show special interest in a 330i if he thinks it is a 316d worth about half as much.

This is something that I never really uderstood for guys with 330's. If you have a 325 or something then I say go for it but if you have a 330 then why debadge? I'd rather people see my car and be able to identify what model it is.

there are so many threads out there about this. I say debadge, I love the clean look in the rear, if I had an M3, I would debadge also. I find it funny how guys with 323/325's debadge, and get ranted on by some of the 328/330 guys because they claim that they are trying to hide their smaller engines, but yet, I don't see anyone give any 328/330 owner sh!t for debadging his or her car. what, is it so hard to believe that the 323/325 guys just like the cleaner look better. some of u higher model bimmer guys need to get over urselves. I'm sick of the arguments that arise from these topics. I'm sure that the 323/325 guys aren't in shame to be driving their cars, and sure as hell shouldn't be looked down upon by other bmw owners because they didn't get a 328 or 330 at the time.

I guess your implicit assumption is that people debadge to hide their lower-end-model, not for the cleanness and symmetry debadging offers.
I debadged my car the day I got it, just because I think it is really weird to have a badge on one side of the trunk. Recently I got a DINAN3 badge, and I put that, too, under the hood instead of on the trunk (as far as cleanness is concerned, ANY badge is going to screw it up). As far as other people are concerned, if they know enough about 330/325 models, they will be able to tell the difference without a badge.

Debadge your bimmer and it's going to look quite typically like an older honda accord.

I want to keep my badge, that way by after i'm done modding, and i'm toasting 330's, they'll bang their heads on their steering wheels as they see 323i flashign them the hazzards.

Why?

I think the only guys or chicks that debadge are the ones with the pint size models. I see a lot of dudes driving around with a 323 want to be a 330 that is debadged. Its pretty simple to spot these ****ers out. Checkout the phuny exhaust tail pipe......give me a break!
