Cork floor tile, who has it?
Initially I didn't like it much after seeing a friend's floor wear out quickly.
Now, the stuff is really growing on me because of the feel, acoustic properties, thermal insulation and the 'natural' look it has. Anyone have opinions on it? Do's and dont's? Most of the ones I like are in the $4/sq ft range which seems high to me if it doesn't look good for more than a few years. Note this is going in a mid-century modern house, and I'm trying to use materials that are either consistent with the time period or similar to something used back then. A few I'm considering. The first one might be better for a wall. ![]()

I have seen some walls done with cork, but I have never seen a floor.

We did the inside of our Airstream with the cork flooring. Very comfortable, easy to clean up with our dogs. Ours looks just like the second one.

Find the Bamboo/cork composites. Very nice.
