I'm sure Gucci's top of the line shoes are well made, but their lower end stuff is probably just as bad as the generic crap that you find at JC Penny. With shoes, I've learned that American and British shoes are the way to go. Properly constructed, goodyear welted shoes are worth the money.

Next thing you know people don't like AMG, or Le Mans.

Ya, i could see that.. I only know of the pair I have. but that is true for a lot of brands... Watered down dolce and gabana, etc. I think gucci keeps their lineup pretty tailored though, as far as brands go. their dress shirts are AMAZING. also very expensive though. Once you get to a certain level of anything, it really comes down to personal taste. EVERY time i wear my g. dress shirts out, i will have people notice from across the room and compliment, without fail.

while i generally agree, really depends on the shoe. on those bananas it is very slight and actually looks quite elegant imo. blanket statements just don't work. besides "camrys are a horrible car to buy". excessively pointy also looks bad. depends on the person and shoe.

Hardly an elitist. My one and only pair of tennis shoes (Asics) were $40 and I love them.

have no idea who put you in a 40L but i'm pretty sure the jacket is too long for you
not just the sleeves but the actual jacket length
you're shorter than me, you should not be wearing a L anything

and before taking any advice from anyone, ask for actual pictures of themselves suited up
it's kinda like going to a personal trainer who is fat and out of shape ...
sure they might have head knowledge but it's another thing to actually put it into practice and show how it's done

i dunno man...
i'm 2.5" taller than you and L length coats are 99% of the time too long
unless if you have proportionally very long torso compared to your legs ... even then you'd not want a jacket that is too long or else it'd exaggerate the disproportion
how much of your ass did the back of the jacket cover?

...somebody that works there..?. It isn't an AMG motor i don't have the like worker's name etched on them or anything. First of all those choices were intended for the audience here as something that i found that is nice, as something to help people. I didnt see anybody here referencing zegna or ralph lauren black label so talking about Louboutin or prada loafers probably isnt valuable , to at least most people here... before your nasty comment.

I am not an expert but you can tell the Gucci quality from a few points,
-First of all, just looking at it, the design is very very visibly timeless and of high quality
-Handmade from a company that has done this and been reputable as a top designer since.. 1920
-Poor quality materials fall apart, good quality materials that improve with age, have seen this first hand. another reason i mentioned the banana because it is pretty nice actually for the price.
-Cap toe, high quality leather
-Leather sole, two tone
-Stitching visibly perfect

like i said, not a full on cobbler or anything, i don't know, but i can tell the quality at least for myself.

if you need an explanation of what makes a dress shoe nice, it is a subjective thing.. go read the website or try one on. Not here to validate myself to you lol. I have them because i like them>??

which of my comments was "nasty"?
or was my question about whether you knew anything about your gucci shoes "nasty" to you? ... that was a legitimate question
i'm just trying to see whether you actually know something or if you just buy for the label
Gucci does put out quality stuff (depending on the line) ... but i'd say more people buy it for the name without knowing a thing about whether the shoe is of good quality or not
and pay a lot more for similar quality just because of the name

i know a thing or two about well made shoes
and i shined these up myself with quality products to take care of them
