cai question

hey everone, does anyone know why or any dyno proven results as to replacing the intake tube between the maf and the tb? deleting the ribbed rubber/plastic one can only improve air flow in theory anyways, wonder if anyone has read or has proof why example almost all intake companies seem to replace the air box/filter assembly so its direct to maf i can't seem to find information on this

Replacing the factory rubbing intake pipe can help increase the flow of air and throttle response. Rubber pipes can expand with heat and if the inside of the pipe is not smooth, it's disrupting the air flow.

Injen's Intake cold air intake system for the E46 features fully polished aluminum piping from the TB to the filter. Every customer who I have this particular intake too praise the increase in throttle response and of course, the power increase:

i'm not looking to buy i'm just wondering about it because i'm building my own mandrel bent cai from the tb to filter
