Leather Jacket - best used with collar shirts?

I've been rocking a extremely comfortable hoodie for a while and picked up another sweater jacket. But I'm not sure that collar shirts would look proper with them. How about a Leather jacket? And what would OT recommend as a good quality jacket.

Please, no bullshit hipster brands. I don't want a red jacket made out of recylced flannel that cost $500.

Any suggestions then? I want something that looks nice with Polos and a few button up shirts.

Wool Peacoat. Either black, charcoal or dark navy. Charcoal and Navy will be most versatile.

Look to J. Crew, Banana Republic, and the like.

I still wear my leather jackets too; most are motorcycle/biker style and are collarless (..usually some sort of snap closure or something). I don't wear a lot of collared shirts, but they can be worn with leather jackets. I'm more of a collarless crew or v-neck shirt kind of guy, and most of my clothing is fitted. Here is an example of what my jackets look like (...I especially like the sleeve on the first jacket; angled cuff):

I've got a nice Eddie Bauer leather jacket I always get completed on. Only with jeans though, button up is optional.
