Dealer Can't Shut Off My DRL's?

I brought my car to the dealer to get my DRL's shut off and was expecting no problems at all. After waiting a while I was told that they tried to code the car twice and it wasn't working. I asked them what the problem was and the guy working on my car said that the car wouldn't take the code to shut off the DRL's because I have an aftermarket Pioneer head unit in the car. Does this sound right to anyone? I have no experience with this kind of stuff so a second opinion would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else been told this? If so what did you do? Thanks

I hope you didn't pay them anything.

Go to NJ subforum and ask for help from a local coder. Their excuse is BS, they must have no idea what they are doing.

Um, I'm pretty sure the only bus the radio talks on is the IBUS, and coding the headlights uses the KBUS if I remember correctly. They are bullshitting you. Request refund.

Thanks everyone for your second opinions. Luckily they didn't charge me anything and I don't want to pull the fuse as I think it will cause a light on the dash. Hopefully i can find a local coder that can do this
