BimmerBrakes' GEN3 Headers ordered!
Is it true? If so, why's everyone so quiet about it. This talk's been going on for months and we were told mid February is when to expect them? It does say "item on order" however...

Are the Gen3 still going to be produced?
Are all six primaries the same length or are the front three the same and back three the same? How is the Gen 3 different from the SS? Does anyone know the diameter of the tube after the 3:1 merge collector for either/both the Gen3 and SS? I am looking into adding cats right there.

Bimmerbrakes is very legit and knows there stuff. The only issue with these is that to install, you more or less have to pull the motor. You'll see more torque gains from these but less HP gains on the top end than the SS style.

Not true, you can install them without pulling the motor. It's just a bit harder to get to all the bolts. It's more of just having the right tools to get in the hard to reach places.

Motor doesn't have to be pulled completely, just engine mounts un bolted and motor jacked up a bit

Has anyone received the Gen3 headers yet? I'd like to order a set, but I'm skeptical. I'm debating on modifying euro S50 headers with M54 flanges.

If the gen3 headers really are a clone of Technik V3's, they are not bad at all to install. Not appreciably worse than my Supersprints were.
Removing the passenger's side motor mount and bracket made it a ton easier and it only had to be out for about ten minutes while I slipped the headers into position and got a couple of the nuts started so the gaskets couldn't fall out.
