A quick question regarding oil leak

I bought a bmw 323ci six month ago. Today I noticed that there is some oil on the ice when I moved my car. However, the car runs fine. In addition, there is no light on, indicating something is wrong. So, I want to know if there is a leak, will certain light be on to let me know?
Thank you. I am not car expert.

Your car doesnt tell you when you have an oil leak. But when you're low on oil, it will tell you on the dashboard. How much is it leaking? I would check your oil level regularly until the leak is fixed.

Thank you for the quick reply. I assume you mean engine oil. Do you think it can be a gas leak? What kinds of stuff can leak from a car? Is it safe if I am like nothing happened?
