Car got hurt

I know this isn't really the proper forum for this but this is where people know me and I just had to share my pain with fellow car guys.

My wife backed into the car with the suburban when I was home for lunch today. She forgot the car was parked behind her as she was backing out and was day dreaming and wham... End result... Going to need a hood, fender, corner marker, and possibly a headlight and rad support depending on whether I can bend it all back into place or not. Picked up a black hood and fender at the wreckers today for 400 but it still hurts right after Christmas.

Ouch! Doesn't look too bad though, but if your gonna buy parts I would try looking at your local or closest salvage yard you can get parts there pretty cheap and you have a very common color so it should be easy to find! Good luck gettin her all back to normal!

I'm Hoping to have it mostly fixed up after just bolting stuff on tomorrow and then I just need to get the corner and the headlight sorted.

Ya I went out to look and she was almost crying and was just saying 'you don't wanna see'. And I'm thinking how bad can it be, expecting just a scrape on the bumper... And It was pretty painful to look at when I finally walked around the truck

Well spent pretty much a whole day yesterday straightening the upper rad crossmember support thing and replacing the hood and fender. Just need to order a new corner marker and headlight lenses to replace the cracked ones that are on it right now. Right now the corner marker is duct taped in as its mounting tabs were broken.

Thanks hornung, it does feel good to have it done and looking decent. At first I was expecting a much more drawn out process before I found the hood and fender
