Speeding Ticket
If I got a speeding ticket the other day and the officer wrote down an incorrect age on it is that grounds for dismissal? I would assume no but just wondering.

i'm sure a good lawyer would make the claim, if he can't do simple math according to your birth date, what else can't he do

If it's off by one year I doubt it. Lot's of other information on the ticket confirming it's you.
Then again lawyers get paid to get guilty people off on technicalities... |

I had a cop put my brother's name on it since it was his car. Judge said it didn't matter, and that I was still speeding.

a ticket was issued in your bros name and it effected your license?
if that's the case , you guys gota start paying for lawyers the car doesn't get the ticket, the driver does,lol

traffic court judge will laugh if that's your defense.
I did, however, get out of a ticket once because the cop wrote the offense section wrong...

mistakes do not guarantee dismissal of any ticket. a ticket only has to contain a certain number of correct identifying elements. i don't know what it is for moving violations, but i beat a couple of parking tickets in nyc because they did not contain 6 mandatory descriptive elements of the vehicle (state of registration, body type, make, registration expiration date, plate # and plate type).
also, i got 2 tickets on my motorcycle which had a bunch of mistakes; wrong DOB, license expiration date, etc. and my lawyer said that it still may or may not get dismissed. don't assume a ticket will get dismissed, have a case ready for them.

I use to own a dark blue car and in the right light it looked black, Girlfriend got a speeding ticket and the officer wrote " Black" on the ticket and it got thrown out

yes, it is.
go into court, call the judge, officer, and prosecutors all assholes, then when the judge says "bailiff, take john doe out" shout "that's not my name" and throw your ID at the bench, while ripping up your ticket and walking out the door. edit - I'm a lawyer, trust me.
