Cleaning the air ducts in a PT Cruiser?

Hey guys.. off topic so in the this forum.

My GF has a 2001 PT Cruiser that had a pinprick hole in the radiator for a loooong time, so aerosoled radiator fluid into all of the ducts. It REALLY smells, though is substantially better now after the hole is fixed, and a couple of cans of duct cleaning fluid flushed in.

Bottom line though.. it still smells.

Any suggestions? Tear it down to get to the parts? Any cleaner suggestions? Spray in stuff like I used before?

Candidly I would love to see the car GONE but she is holding on until she can get her dream jeep.

Any ideas or general suggestions?

Thanks yall!

PT Cruiser?

Setting the car on fire will eradicate both the smell and shame.

ok.. that is hilarious.. but no really! I need some real advice guys! I am sincerely concerned about her health and breathing in that toxic crap.

I would LOVE that car gone TODAY and would be if I could afford to pay for its replacement myself!

Ok, why did you not get the tiny hole fixed, why did you let it get to this point.

There is no way to fix this, you're fucked

Happened before my time, so it was me getting in her car and going WOAH!!! What is THAT!? It has built so badly she cant even smell it anymore at all. Found and fixed (replaced the radiator) the leak, cleaned the ducks and it is much better to my nose, but still can smell it driving or when she comes in from driving it.

Chryslers don't have air filters.

Buy a can of Lysol disinfectant spray, turn the fans on max with windows down, and empty that bitch through HVAC air intake located at the bottom of the windshield.

Or drive it into a lake.

Be careful though, make sure it's completely aired out before driving it again

Thanks, I will definitely check that out. Also thinking, if I can still find a place, getting the engine steam cleaned.

The turbo on that car is the size of a bubble gum tape container.
