lol ive done that once. Ive paid my dues however.


There always will be ways to sideload paid apps for free, but installous did make it easy, never did like the word encryption bar thingy you'd have to type in though.

Theres always cydia and rock...er..whatever still out there. But its too bad.

I used to use something touchtoolset with its own repos I wonder if that would still work today.

Get a droid, root the phone, DL paid apps, backup using titanium backup, get refund for paid apps, restore those "returned" apps from titanium backup...profit.

Jailbreaking is useless anyways these days.

I only jaibreak to unlock a 3G/3GS iphone and you can't do that on the newer phones anyways.

Use AppCake+, next best thing.

Add Sinfuliphonerepo to ur source then install Appcake+

Still waiting on the iPhone5 JB...I think I'm done with the iPhone moving forward, this phone is worthless without a JB.

After some searching around I've successfully put a cracked app on without installous.

• Download this: http://i-funbox.com/version_history.html and install it
• Plug your phone in, run the program, and click on "i-funbox classic"
• Click on "install app" and navigate to the .ipa, that's it.

Google "app name ipa" to find the apps

I said **** it, and upgraded to iOS 6 and lost my JB. Going legit now. I didn't mind paying for a few must-have apps that I had (under $10 all together). I do miss the swipe down SB Settings though. Wish Apple would make that standard.

does this work if your phone isnt jailbroken? i upgraded to ios6 and lost my jailbreak over the weekend

I wasn't even aware that they existed, I just usually type in the app name followed by .apk into google and find it right away.

Is it just me or is jailbreak not really worth it any longer?

Not just you - I feel the same for the past few days. Only thing I miss is the SB Settings, but even not thaaaaat much.

other than sbsettings, i really liked superficial things like barrel and winterboard. i hate the way the stock iphone homescreen/springboard looks

It's just you. It's worth it for SBSettings and free tethering alone, not to mention tons of little tweaks like custom carrier message, flashlight from the lock screen, available RAM in my info bar, other small things.

am i the only one thinking about switching over to android btw? don't get me wrong, i really appreciate the wonders the jailbreak community has brought, but i'm getting a little tired of waiting for a jb (and having to rejailbreak) every time a new ios comes out. i still like the whole icloud synchronization between my phone and mac, but i'm not sure it's enough to keep me tied to an iphone anymore

No. As soon as my phone dies I'm jumping ship. One of my friends recently got the Nokia 920 and I love that phone, but I'm not sure if I want to make the commitment to Windows quite yet, Android is more customizable.

I'm in love with my HTC One X even though it was a bit more complicated to unlock the bootloader. The other day I started out with this ROM, then updated to the latest (although incomplete) version of 4.2 Jelly Bean here, and then settled on this stock based ROM that has great functionality, awesome battery life and combined with a specific kernel, lets me wake the phone simply by swiping a finger across the three capacitive buttons on the bottom. I did all this in one day without ever connecting my phone to a PC. I downloaded and flashed all the ROMs/kernels directly from my phone.

I'll probably switch back to 4.2.1 once it's complete.
